1991 - Amsterdam, NL
- VOB
Notes: Definitely some generation decay - grainy, but unobstructed. Personally, I think this is one of the most beautiful versions of this show. Pia and Uwe steal the show at times. One of my favourite videos. B-
2000 - Buenos Aires, Argentina
- AVI - Highlights
Notes: previous trader - "Pro shot, about two hours of footage." - Beautiful video capture and a lovely performance. The sound is a little shoddy (B-), however. Video: A
2001 - 3 October - Matinee - Broadway, NYC
- VOB
Notes: Generation loss, as expected. Begins about 5 minutes into the show during "On Parole." Seems to be one of the only (or few) videos of Peter Lockyer in the role and the Only of Melissa Minyard.
2005 - 6 May - London, UK
- VOB
Notes: A very good and strong cast that I am looking for more information on! If you know who covered some of Les Amis for this show, please let me know! Video is shaky at times but there are some very good close up shots. Generally follows the action well. B
2007 - 17 February - Broadway, NYC
- VOB
Notes: This is an absolutely beautiful VOB - good zooms and close-ups, as well as action shots. The screencap really doesn't do it justice at all. A+
2008 - 9 & 10 August - Hollywood Bowl Concert, CA
Notes: A good camera shot of the proshot screen-transmission intended for the audience. The show is cut down quite a lot to fit the time frame. This cast is very good - especially J. Mark McVey, who went on to join the U.S. 25th Anniversary Tour - and I enjoyed the show a lot. A |
Notes: Night after the "proshot" recording - a good cam video - not as many close shots and the video is shaky, but an excellent watch all the same. Well worth checking out - very different from the proshot above. Again, show is cut to fit the time frame. A- |
2008 - Amsterdam, NL - Dutch Revival - Dress Rehersal
- RARE - VOB
Notes: RARE, Proshot (Dutch Revival) "The First Run Through in the Rehearsal Studio, Without Set and Costumes. It was made for the cast members of Les Miserables. Also some interviews with cast members are on the dvd."
2008 - *26 August* - Amsterdam, NL - Dutch Revival
- VOB
Notes: (Dutch Revival) Probable date: 26 August 2008 - Notes from other trader: "Really lovely DVD, both in regards to the quality and the filming. Recorded from the left balcony. Strong cast, though I dislike Javert and Enjolras is rather sodd. I'm particularly fond of this Grantaire. This is a replica production, pretty much identical to the one in London. Brief moments of colour washout on three occasions on the second disc, seems like the camera was switched to night mode as an experiment"
2009 - Rotterdam, NL - Dutch Revival
- Limited Trade - VOB
Notes: Limited Trade, Proshot (Dutch Revival) - Nieuwe Luxor Theater Production - Claimed Proshot - though I haven't watched the whole thing personally. A lot of alternates and understudies on, which I absolutely love! Looking forward to watch.
2008 - September - London, UK

Notes: Not the best video, though the cast is amazing - one of the best Les Mis casts, in my opinion. A little fuzzy and the action downstage is often cut off. B/A-

2010 -12 December - Papermill Playhouse - Millburn, NJ
VOB
Cast: Ron Sharpe (JVJ), Andrew Varela (Javert), Betsy Morgan (Fantine), Chasten Harmon (Eponine), Jenny Latimer (Cosette), Justin Scott Brown (Marius), John Rapson (u/s Thenardier), Shawna M. Hamic (Mme Thenardier), Jeremy Hays (Enjolras), Joe Spieldenner (Grantaire), Ian Patrick Gibb (Prouvaire), Jason Forbach (Feuilly) Notes: Essentially one of the final preview nights for the kick off of the 25th Anniversary North American Tour of Les Mis. Features and amazing and strong cast that I had the pleasure of seeing live many times. Video is a bit dark in places, as Papermill doesn't use traditional spots/lighting. Some blackouts, but not many and the video is very clear with good close-ups. A |
2011 - West End, London, UK
VOB
Cast: Jonathan Williams (Jean Valjean u/s), Norm Lewis (Javert), Rebecca Seale (Fantine), Katy Secombe (Madame Thenardier), Martin Ball (Thenardier), Gareth Gates (Marius), Samantha Barks (Eponine), AJ Callaghan (Cosette) Killian Donnelly (Enjolras)
Notes: A very good cast and an excellent video over all. Some washout from the white spots in sections, but it isn't bad. The master clearly knows the show fairly well and followed the action very well. A

Notes: Good quality video with some close action, but slightly shaky throughout with some head obstruction - filmed from the far back. An Excellent over all cast and it's good to see Norm and Hugh back in these roles. B

NFT - December 2014 - VOB
Cast: Daniel Koek (Jean Valjean), James Gant (u/s Javert), Na-Young Jeong (Fantine), Carrie Hope Fletcher (Eponine), Samantha Dorsey (Cosette), Anton Zetterholm (Enjolras), Rob Houchen (Marius), Wendy Ferguson (Madame Thénardier), Cameron Blakely (Thénardier), Adam Linstead (Bishop/Grantaire), Carl Mullaney (Bamatabois), Ilan Galkoff (Gavroche), Caoimhe Judd (Young Cosette), Andreana Pascoulis (Young Eponine)
Notes: This cast is phenominal and James Gant is an excellent Javert. Glad the master went on a night that James was on, it's quite a rare video to have caught him near the start of his run as first cover. The quality is absolutely amazing and the close-ups are very clear. Some ensemble scenes are rather Anton-centric, but otherwise, an excellent video. A+
